NICOLE + DAVID

This was a wedding that we shot a few weeks ago at Cumberland Island with one of the most adverturous couples that we have ever worked with.  They are into climbing mountains, exotic travel, etc.  They are probably still on their six week honeymoon to Africa.I can not believe that this is the first time that I have been to this island.  It is absolutely the most amazing place I have ever been!  I offered to stay and cut grass or wash dishes and apparently a lot of other people have already beaten me to the same offer.    So here is a sneak peak for them if they are checking or for their family, who may also be checking this blog.

THE PUMPKIN PATCH

Its that time of year again.  Time to visit Washinton Farms and hit the hay ride and pumpkin patch.  My son is now 3 and really likes this kind of stuff.  My daughter is one and..........not so much.  Some pics from our trip.

MANDY + DOUG

One of things that Paula and I are most fortunate to be able to say is that we attract genuinely real people that are incredible to be around, especially on a day that most people would loose their minds. We just finished projecting Mandy and Dougs images for their first viewing a little while ago, as they have literally just returned from their honeymoon a few days ago. I appreciated Dougs comment, as they walked in the door, of "I feel like I should give you guys a hug". That truly represents what kind of people these two are and how it feels to know both of them. Just had to share.

ORPHAN BRIDES

There are a LOT of photographers out there and everybody does it different. As a full service photography studio, we cater to our clients by being with them through the entire process of planning, shooting and creating heirloom quality pieces of art. We get asked frequently, by people that went the cheaper route and hired a "shoot and burn" photographer only to be left with a CD of thousands of unedited images that they don't know what to do with. What do they do now? There is a term used in this industry to describe that bride......... an "orphan" bride. If this describes your situation, we will be happy to process and print your files the way that they should have been done for you in the beginning. We can also create one of our custom album designs and bind it in a spectacular album that will be a treasure for generations.

PAISLEY UMBRELLA "SAVE THE DATE"

I was asked by my friend Katriesa Raines to come take some shots of their recent Save the Date party at the Paisley Umbrella.  Atlanta Weddings magazine partnered with the co-op to produce a beautiful event.  By the way, Congratulations to Katriesa, she is a new mommy!

Senior Sessions

With school starting up all over the place, I thought it might be appropriate to show a sampling of what we have been up to for the last several weeks.  We have entered into the high school senior portrait market!  This is an exciting venture for us because we are working with upcoming seniors that want something different than what they can get from the school photographer.  We are shooting lifestyle portraits, in locations and in clothes that represent their individuality and personal style.  You will see more of this in the coming months!

Family Portrait Session

I recently shot a family portrait session in the home of some friends of mine.  We have known this couple long before either of us had children and now I am helping them to build strong memories of this amazing time in their lives.

Colton Turns 3!!!

I am a little late posting this, since his brithday was on August 5th, but we were right on time with the cake and presents!  Grandpa was here to help celebrate because he has been helping with the build out of the studio expansion.  More on that in another post.  I have to pinch myself during moments like this to think about the fact that I have a three year old kid.  What a blessing he is to our lives!

Of course, Paula had to get on the mike and work out those "pipes".

Brittney + Pete

Brittney and Pete decided to take family and close friends with them to Jamaica to get married.  They truly took advantage of being in a tropical location and were very willing to do just about anything for a great shot including the day after,  which took us to a private waterfall away from the resort.  We just came back from a reception this evening that was held here in Atlanta for all those that could not make the trip for the big reveal of their images.  So, here are a few of the MANY!

Lina + Jim

This was our second time in a month shooting at the beautiful Cuscowilla Resort on Lake Oconee.   Jim and Lina were married on the Pointe and then had their reception at the Golf House.   This was an intimate gathering of a few family and friends that had all of the makings of an unforgettable Wedding.

Getting caught up!

WOW! I am so far behind on keeping up with this blog! Right now we are in the process of some major changes to our business. Because of this something had to give and unfortunately it has been this blog. However, it has been a busy last couple of months shooting weddings, fashion and editorial work.

With that said, here is some currently published work.

The Atlantan Brides showcased one of my brides in their current issue.

This last piece ran last month, but I liked how they designed the story around the images.  I really do love doing this kind of work, weddings, events, editorial, fashion, they all look fantastic with an editorial approach.

Dana + Tom

One of what had to be the hottest days EVER, June 7th!  Dana and Tom came down from New York to join friends and family at Cuscowilla Resort on Lake Oconee.  What I love about these kind of weddings is that the wedding is an event that spans several days and is really one very long and fun party.  Here are some shots from the day.

The Strawberry Patch

Living in the rural areas outside of downtown Atlanta has its advantages.  There is a nice little Stawberry farm about 15 minutes from our home where you can go and pick your own stawberries.  Colton loves going there and obsessing about the tractor.  We like to go to get fresh air and fresh strawberries, of course!

A friends Parents

I had a good friend of mine approach me about photographing his wifes grandparents and presenting these portraits to her and the family when everybody was in town together for dinner.  This couple has been together for over 70 years!  I think that this is a testament to and a complete extreme to the fresh new wedded couples that we typically work with.  Something we all aspire to.
